The roads from Gothenburg to Stockholm in those years were few and the two men from Piedmont decide to take the ones with the best variety of views. Vidua was particularly struck by the immense distances, which are uncommon in the Kingdom of Savoy and Sardinia. After Stockholm in addition to the University of Uppsala, Vidua also visits Sweden’s iron and copper mines.
